School Readiness

For the past ten years the Ladies of Charity Morgan Hill has helped low-income students in the community begin the school year ready to learn by filling 250 quality backpacks with grade specific school supplies.

We realized there was an unmet need with the middle and high school youth, requiring more durable backpacks and more specialized supplies. By partnering with the Gilroy Community Agency for Resources and Advocacy (CARAS), Gilroy and Morgan Hill Unified School Districts, and Cal-SOAP we are able to meet the needs of this particular community.
